  • Continues to frustrate players into purchases

    By DrPeppa
This game continues to frustrate its players in order to coax money out of them. It is shameful that the Disney name and characters are being used to foster addictive actions. After nearly 3 years of playing, I find I still struggle to complete in game challenges without the purchase of limited time characters. The free to play system is a horrible thing to have happened to consumers.
  • Not worth it!

    By CharlesW12
When this game first came out it was great. You were able to build your own Disney kingdom and have fun while doing it. Quests and events were demanding but fair and wielded you new attractions or characters when completed. You rarely had to spend real money except for instances where you wanted to purchase a character that could not be won in game or if you needed gems for something. For those with families and careers and didn’t have the time to play 24/7, this was an enjoyable game that could be played casually. Now, this game has devolved into a tedious pay to win type of game. It is almost impossible to complete events without putting out real money. The tower challenges and some quest are almost impossible if you cannot afford to be on the game every second of ever day. Gameloft’s DMK team has failed to deliver the land players need to place all of the attractions they have collected over time and they have failed to truly listen to their fan/customer base and continue to implement changes that take the fun and casualness of the game away. If you do not have the ability to be on this game all day and you do not have tons of money to throw away, I suggest searching for another game to play. Disney fans, don’t fall into this trap!
  • Money Hungry People

    By ;OldWoman
I have been playing this game for a long time and it has become a MONEY COW. The developers have become so greedy and money hungry that they are ruining the game. Every update they do is to make the gamers spend more money to play. They take away good things that were free and make them into money grabbing items. They are ruining the game with every step that they take. They make it impossible to get new characters without spending real money, and LOTS of it. They have become disgusting money hungry developers.

Pretty much a straight pay to win game now. If you want to get any new content (even “free” content) you better get ready to pay because between low buffs and time-limited events your chances of getting anything is pretty low. Don’t waste your time.

For any new player forget it. You will be required to have characters that are only available for cash. Myself I played since the beginning and am hanging up my cleats. They constantly have events and events require you to play around the clock and buy characters to complete the event. Because if you do not complete the event you will not get characters like Moana, Ariel, Baymax and Winnie the Pooh. And by the way the events for those movies are over....you won’t get them unless you buy them. The events became ImPossible. Very frustrating ‘game’. And to call it a game? All it is is click things all day long. It’s cute not fun. Please trust me.
  • Bad Updates Money hungry game

    By Delirious453
I've never seen such a blatant disregard a game developer has shown it's players then what Gameloft is doing despite the huge negative response to their latest updates. At first it was a little minor thing by changing the amount of items needed to level up characters. I could deal with knowing that characters would take longer to level up. I sent a complaint to customer service and the response was just that it is changed and sorry. At least they are giving notice now before raising level up requirements. But the most recent update that degrades your happiness level at a rate that can drop you from one tier to the next in less approximately 8 hours or so. Being able to keep happiness level in the highest tier was what made leveling up characters at least manegable but now in order to keep your happiness at the highest tiers you will basically have to either spend Gems (in game currency) or Merlins elixirs (special potions that are harder to get). Basically Gameloft is saying in order to continue playing the same way you have been for almost 3 years you will get less unless you start spending money. Well I for one will say that I hope are happy with the nearly $200+ I've spent so far as I will not spend a penny more unless some changes that are ACTUALLY beneficial to ALL players are implemented. Maybe what I've spent so far is just a drop in the bucket for Gameloft but I believe even the bigger spenders are starting to boycott spending. We can spend our hard earned money elsewhere...and if you are reading this review to see if you want to play this game look somewhere else unless you are ok with spending either 10 hours a day playing or spending hundreds of $/€ to advance in the game.
  • It used to be a good game

Do NOT get this game for kids. Kids need to succeed and this game takes way too much time and real money to be successful at the game. My kids have had it for a couple of years and the latest changes to happiness require playing in the middle of the night to keep your park happy...UNACCEPTABLE...and definitely not in the spirit of Disne.y... Disney should pull the franchise form this company.
  • Shift to force more time in the game

I’m out. Fun distraction for a while but every update lately causes longer play time to see a result (new character or access to more space) which means more advertising to view. CU
  • Not fun anymore/unbalanced/money grab

    By Pixiechk
I’ve been playing this game for 3 years. It used to be fun and relaxing. After three years, there has barely been land to unlock so the landscape hasn’t changed. Decorations, attractions and concessions have to be stored because of the land issue. If you plan on starting this game, realize you won’t have the pleasure of displaying the attractions etc. that you spend so much time, and in most cases money, acquiring. The game is now time consuming and expensive if you want to acquire your beloved Disney characters and there just isn’t enough space in the game to arrange all the decor, attractions and concessions in order to be fully satisfied.
  • Cash grab

When I started playing this game about a year ago, it was a lot of fun. Even as a new player I was able to easily finish the first few events. However, recently the events have been harder and harder (and more frequent) that you can’t finish even if you pay real money. It’s like they don’t understand that the people who play this have jobs and lives, and play for some fun and to escape for a little while. No one has 18+ hours a day to dedicate to this game
