Description

Skype keeps the world talking. Say “hello” with an instant message, voice or video call – all for free*, no matter what device they use Skype on. Skype is available on phones, tablets, PCs, and Macs. • Video calls – Don’t just hear the cheers, see them! Get together with 1 or 24 of your friends and family on a HD video call. Watch everyone’s smiles and cries when you tell them “We’re engaged!!!"  • Chat – Reach people instantly. Send messages to your friends, grab someone’s attention with @ mentions, or create a group chat to plan a family reunion.  • Share – Send photos and videos with your family and friends. Save shared photos and videos to your camera roll. Share your screen to make travel plans with friends or present designs to your team. • Voice calls – Camera shy? Make voice calls to anyone in the world on Skype. You can also call mobile and landlines at low rates. • Express yourself – Liven up conversations with emoticons, click on the “+” in chat to send a Giphy or images from the web, and annotate images with words, lines and more. *Skype to Skype calls are free. Operator data charges may apply. We recommend using an unlimited data plan or WiFi connection.

  • Skype has major connection problems

Many users are experiencing severely deteriorated quality video and audio and even text messaging that disconnects and re- connects and falsely tells the user they have a poor connection when they don’t, the problem is all with Skype and it’s on all devices and operating systems. A Skype technician I spoke with acknowledged it as a widespread problem with the software (it’s been going on for months) they are aware of it and the developers are trying to fix this monstrosity so far without success. So if you get a “poor connection” message it’s not - it’s a flaw in the Skype software .

We live in Lithuania and I t’s really important to have good communication with my family. Skype calls to the ones who have landlines in the States is such a blessing. I always have excellent connections with no interference. It costs pennies per minute to call so I never feel rushed. I’m ver thankful for Skype!

I’m 75 so I appreciate how user friendly Skype is my husband goes back and forth to the UK he’s from the UK I’m from the USA we courted on Skype for 10 years on a daily basis. We married and now are in our 19th year of using it every time we are apart. Communication is clear and with a headset better than a phone. Thanks!

I’m in a LDR with a man from India so video chatting is our main form of communication. We have tried multiple apps and have had a horrible time finding decent video quality!! This is the first app that has actually allowed us to see each other’s faces clearly!! We also worry about security and privacy and definitely appreciate the security of Skype!! Thank you so, so much!!!

It should be possible to edit The phone number you’re dialing in, at a specific place. Otherwise calling overseas can get frustrating because it’s impossible to copy and paste the number onto the dial pad After the designated country code.
