  • pretty app, because database is inaccurate, macros calculated wrong :(

I have been using this app for two months. I really enjoy the looks of it, how fast it feels to log food and create meals. I have been eating keto, so I need my carbs to be low. You have the option of tracking net carbs, but sadly the data is not being processed correctly. For example any keto eater knows an avocado has a low amount of net carbs. about 4 per avocado. this app logs it as 17. it does not minus the fiber despite me confirming that I am tracking NET carbs. :/ so I cannot track my food. chia seeds it says a huge number of carbs. it does not minus the fiber. so basically if you need to know your true macros then this database is not so good. I redownloaded carb manager app today and wow the avocado has less than 4 grams net carbs. now I know I can eat it and not worry. and chia seeds is accurate on that app (carb manager app) too so I recommend switching to a better app and for the makers of this one to fix the data so it is not only an app with good looks. thank you.
  • Gorgeous interface, helpful features, amazing customer support

This app is wonderful! And VEGAN FRIENDLY! As a graphic designer, the interface was flawless and easy to navigate. This app makes weight loss a breeze, especially if you pay for a premium membership. I’ve always been satisfied with all facets of the app, but recently had to terminate premium service (to no fault of the app, just a personal decision) and between Lifesum customer support and iTunes, I was refunded the membership fee almost immediately. Please give this app a shot!
  • No features unless you go premium

Pretty, but my fitness pal has many of these features in the free version

I loved the app until it refused to start up on June 21. I don’t want to delete and reload. What gives?
  • Glitches

This app is good for the most part, except it has been glitchy for me lately. When food is scanned in or even put in manually the macros are way off. For some not all of the foods scanned in. So it’s hard to track everything consumed that day. I do like that you can set your macro preferences and keep track of water consumption. Although I do with it would let you manually input the oz of water drank.
  • Can’t customize a “plan” for vegetarian or Vegan

Unfortunately even though this app is lovely and easy to use, it’s hard to customize vegan meal plans with limited choices. You are forced it’s choices for dieting but when you click vegan there are about 3-4 choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner qhich gets boring fast. Additionally adjusting your cal goal is also nearly impossible, while it’s under settings, it doesn’t actually adjust no matter how many times you save so it’s hard to track how on target you are. Lastly you can’t change your macros by day so you are stuck to whatever macros you enter as the target regardless if you likely have variations by day. 😞
  • Pretty good, annoying ads for premium.

I’ve been using this for about a week and I really like the interface. One thing that is super annoying is the constant prods to upgrade. I want to try this product and see if I stick with it before I purchase it. And the app constantly directs you to services that aren’t offered in the free version and asks me to go premium. I just want to track my meals at this point. And the arrows and other prompts are all just trying to sell me things. Frustrating.
  • Do not purchase!!

If this app does not fit your diet, you WILL NOT get a refund as stated. I tried to get my money back after less than 30 days and Apple declined. I am waiting to hear back from the company. This app is a waste of money and does not help in tracking as advertised. Keep your money!!
  • Food Diary hard to navigate

I chose this app because it had a selection of plans, but most of it’s food portions are measured in grams. When you are looking for a tablespoon or other common American measuring, it is often not there. So, I’m spending too much time trying to figure out the portion size.

I purchased this subscription for 1 year and tried to cancel the next day. They wouldn’t give me a refund and wouldn’t tell me why. This reason I gave was that it wasn’t what I thought it was. I’m going to keep trying but I’m very disappointed with this outcome so far.
