  • This app looks nice but lacks functionality

    I think the app looks great and is fairly easy to use but it lacks functionality. The scan tool doesn’t recognize common items that I would use for quick adds such as milk, eggs, peanut butter, protein powder or bread. I would have to add each item manually which is time consuming. MyFitnessPal and Cronometer are the exact same thing but their database and scanner are working.

    Carbon is helping me get out of the super low calorie deficit yo-yo cycle! I have read Layne Norton’s book Fat Loss Forever and absolutely loved it. Applied a lot of the principles to my fat loss phase, but it was me trying to do it all. Using Carbon became a game changer. I love how it is using my data to pinpoint my maintenance calories. Using that info has helped guide me in the process. It helped me to know how much to cut to be in a deficit. Then, something I’ve been too scared to try on my own, I am trusting Carbon to take me through a reverse. I’m tired of the low calorie deficits. I love that Carbon is helping me increase my calories with little weight gain, taking all the second-guessing and self-doubts out of the equation. I can’t wait to see how I can get my calories, so when I go into a deficit, it won’t be the 1200 calorie diets.

    I recently got the app, 9.99. I used the app for two days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I never received an email verification email (checked all email folders). When I put my phone on airplane mode and came back o was logged out. When attempting to log in I was not allowed to saying the email or password was wrong. Contacting support is an excruciatingly slow email process instead of telephone or live chat. These types of bugs should be corrected before putting out an app for a large amount compared to other apps. There is implied expectations for an app to work correctly.

    Great coaching app!! This app is amazing while secondary to tracking food. Easy to use to get dialed in to accomplish your goals. Primary function is coaching and checking in. Makes you accountable. I’ve already dropped BF % leanest I’ve been in awhile. thanks guys !!

    Lifetime subscriber right here! Thanks to Team Biolayne and the app developers. The app is truly unique and at 10$/month (or less!) the value is unreal. I tried to write out everything I love about it, but I couldn’t 😂 it was honestly too much, or maybe I am just too wordy, so I say just give it a try and I am confident you will not regret it! To try to keep it short: I literally don’t have to think or stress about when to readjust my macros, what my ratios should be or how often I need to do make adjustments. The coach does it for me and it has made counting macros much for enjoyable for me (I have been counting for a few years). I love marking compliant on my check in days and I love that if I don’t, the coach accounts for that too. I am now quicker to regroup if I have an off day with tracking; I don’t even dwell on those days anymore or let them get out of control or go on longer then they should. I get back on track the next day or the next meal and the planner feature helps me adjust. I have also learned how to incorporate diet breaks using this app and learning to take diet breaks has been instrumental in helping me meet my goals without feeling like I may never “get there”- being consistent is somehow easier now. I see progress every week 💛 It’s just everything 😊

    This is the best app I’ve used for macro management ever, and I’ve used them all. It’s SO much more than just a food tracker - it’s AI that actually helps analyze your progress adjusts your macros for optimal results. It’s also true flexible dieting and it gives users so many options, within parameters designed to help you meet your goals (whether those goals are fat loss, maintenance, or reverse dieting).

    I’m a newer fan of the creators behind the app, but think their approach needs to become more wide spread, so that so many people frustrated by hyped up promises, can finally achieve their goals. I am really digging this app, and how it helps you set smaller targets to help you reach your overall goals, and rates and assess your progress to help keep you moving. I’ve also found that the bar code scanner for the food tracker is significantly faster than another tracking app I’ve used. I highly recommend this app, and have to many of my friends and family

    I’m writing this review, because I really want this to get fixed. Searching for food is a giant pain, and even when you’ve logged your own food searching for it in all the food you have input is not always consistent or easy. You type in the word sour and for some reason the turkey breast I ate pops up in recommendations. I resort to another app for tracking my food. However as bad as this may sound the science behind your recommended intake has been good to me so far. I recommend getting it if you need someone to help you with your fitness journey, but the food tracking could be a lot easier.
