  • Keeps me sane

    By Mini-driver
I have used Omnifocus for several years on the desktop and iOS. It keeps me sane and on top of what needs to get done. There is a lot of power here, so take the time to use the trial and see if it makes sense for you. I have come to appreciate its customizability and useful features, which allow me to stay on top of my tasks and review them when I need to using the “review” feature, and also view my data in different ways, using the “perspectives”, (saved searches) feature. I don’t mind paying for something if I think it will return value, and Omnifocus definitely does that for me.
  • Too expensive

    By HilbertAx
I had it since the beginning, OmniFocus 1,2 now 3. How much money do they want? Now they want 50$ a year to use their web app? That should be free. It’s a to do list after all, it’s a simple program and it’s overpriced. Time to look for alternatives.
  • No longer supporting scumbags

    By Moshfosh
After a nearly $50 upgrade after each update you want to start charging a subscription fee? I think I’d rather bite the bullet and take the highly cost saving subscription from Todoist. Your service has become laughable at this point. I’d call you a joke but I’m not sure you understand what a punchline is at this point. Edit: bless you. So you want to charge me $100 year to use windows capabilities, a feature that didn’t exit until just now. Christ you’re a joke of a company. I recommend everyone use things instead
  • Please Change Data Protection Class

    By NobodyBiz
Developers When you activate the pin code please follow Apple recommended practices from WWDC 2019 and change the Data Protection Class for the omnifocus dB to NSFileProtectionComplete It’s literally one line of code and adds an additional robust layer of app-level protection for personal information stores in the app. It’s so trivial to activate please do it.
  • Can’t set up account so can’t quit it

Cannot set up accounts so cant quit it. Is this a scam app?
  • Distracting bugs make me distrust the program

    By Supercube 3000
I've had Omnifocus 2 for over a year and was happy to hear of this upgrade to Omnifocus 3. However, there are several bugs (and design flaws) that make the app too untrustworthy to be one's "external brain," which make me advise AGAINST buying: (1) Have to tap multiple times to enter basic information for new items, particularly just to add an item in the middle of an existing list. In omnifocus, you tap the "+", type the title, tap "save," then click and drag to where you want the item (4 taps). In Things 3, its 3 taps. (2) This leads me to one of the bugs: when you want to click and drag an item to the top of the list … you can't! It's a bug that has existed for nearly a year now since release. (Now 12 months.) Tech support told me that I could circumvent the bug by dragging my new item 2nd from the top, then dragging the top item below to 3rd place. After all this development time, drag and drop doesn't work? (Related to (1) above, that's 6 taps just to add a new item to the top of a list.) (2.1) Edit: I've just learned that new items can be inserted into the middle of existing lists by tapping and holding the "Add to Inbox" button—as opposed to the plus-symbol "Add Here" button. From a user-expectation perspective, this is still highly confusing. (3) The badge count constantly needs updating—by opening the app—and is almost always inaccurate thereby. (4) Location-based alerts only sometimes go off. They, too, are not reliable. (5) If you search for a project (or the task) and long-press, it'll say "Go to Project." The expectation is that you'll be taken directly to that project from the search results. Not so. Instead, nothing happens and you are taken straight to where you already were looking. If you try searching again, the project won't even appear. This bug, too, has existed since release date May 2018. (Again, as of this writing, it has been 12 months.) (6) Updates are far and few between. Last one had a several month gap, and these major bugs are still not even on their radar. Come on. These bugs and design failures are too much to bear. It's just a huge time sink and hindrance to use the program on iOS. (Even Mac has crippling bugs that crash the software, but that's another App Store review.) Strongly recommend against purchasing and to go with one of omnigroup's two major competitors. Either one would give you a better user experience than this.

Thank you for one of my most important Apps. Everyone needs it !!
  • I’m not buying more than once!!

    By Duber56243
OmniFocus has been a staple in my personal and business life for several years, and is honestly one of the apps that I can’t function without. The initial price tag is high, but being able to sync across my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone is worth the investment. However, I will pay for it one time - not multiple times. When OF3 came out, the system no longer recognizes my username or email address, basically forcing me to purchase it all over again, which I will not do. Guess I will be looking for another task management app
  • False advertising

    By johnmb123
I purchased this app, after already owning the Mac version, because it said that family sharing worked with up to 6 people. When I went to share it with my wife, so we could track tasks for an upcoming party together, I found out that this wasn’t true. The app does nothing until you make an in-app purchase, which doesn’t work with family sharing, so my $50 was just for me to get notifications on my phone.
