The game is fun and so are the puzzles. It does stink that there is no way to earn gems.

I’m a fan of Storm8 games, specifically the candy and cupcake mania ones (although you can tell they aren’t putting any new development into cupcake mania). This game, however, is beyond frustrating. I actually am willing to put money into a game if it’s something I really enjoy playing, but I can’t fathom doing it with this game. Ninety whatevers for an extra 5 lives? Nope. This game blows. I made it to the first bathroom reno and I’m done. It takes so long to get through the levels that your money bank doesn’t rise very quickly and you hardly make any money per level. In addition, there are no rewards. I completed a challenge (they show up way faster in candy mania) and got nothing. No thanks.
  • They just want money

Once you get to the levels where everything is 2,000 coins are higher, it seems like the game is literally programmed to make you lose unless you buy power ups. I’ve been on the same level for days and have ended up with only needing one thing left to beat it and it always makes it impossible to get that last thing, therefor running your moves and lives out. Super irritating. There hasn’t been any way to win diamonds to get the little power ups only options to spend your money on them. Deleting
  • App design needs improving

I just started this game. The design aspect is great, however it is getting harder to get out of a level. It seems to be a ploy to get us to BUY help. How about if you want money you charge a minimal fee to get it and make it easier. Who needs more frustration. We want a few minutes to have some fun. I hope your reading your reviews. Looks like we are all saying the same thing. Too difficult to get anything to decorate with!

I Enjoy the game. Been playing for several months now. I’m at level 531. I just wish you can get more times to play. They only you give you 5 then you have to wait for time before they give you another. There’s nothing I can do to get more diamonds except for buying, which I will not do. It’s easy like Candy Crush (matching), certain objects to obtain and do in order to complete the levels.
  • Design or candy crush?

I hate that there’s a game within the game. There’s a reason I downloaded Design Home and it’s in the title. I do not want to play candy crush and the options to design are limited. No thanks.

The app messed up my iPhone XR. It caused my screen to go black when turning the screen horizontal. I had to delete the app then restart my phone after the malfunction started spreading to other application

Great game and fun designs I love the reveal. However, in order to make money, you have to play other games which are somewhat tedious and costly! Would give more stars if it weren’t for that factor.
  • question about game

really like the game just need some clarification... i recently got to a level where now the new “barrier” or thing i have to achieve is getting the board to have black tiles. but im not sure how this is achieved. i thought at first that it was once the colored pieces are collected, that part of the board turns black. but now im not so sure. whatever the method is doesnt seem to be consistent, because sometimes they turn black and other times ill be down to the last move of the game and not a single tile will have turned. is this a glitch in the game or do i not know how to play?

Didn’t actually delete and played again today. My complaint is same. yOU CANNOT EARN POWERUPS AT ALL. Takes so much fun out of a gem playing and thinking a simple power up may have made the win. As I read a few reviews from months ago, idk about keeping this one. As stated graphics are great. Designing is fun. You begin with a bunch of wins to lure you in. I was even given a chance to purchase power ups...ONCE. I don’t want to spend real money, I play to win imaginary money. I could handle a challenge lasting days (not weeks and months, quit candy crush for just that reason) if the reward was worth the wait. I got this game from the ‘most relaxing game on the Internet’ brag on Facebook. Relaxing it is not. You win so little after trying so hard and I okay many games in my iPad as a retiree and this is the only one that does not give a daily reward nor does it give any chance to win those power ups. I refuse to pay on games that give nothing in return. Nope! I will try a bit longer, but not sure it’s a keeper and it is only relaxing if you don’t mind losing A LOT! ADDING: this is not a keeper. I see people have been saying at least since July to add daily prizes or some means of earning power ups. I give three days on a level then the game is so boring, no challenging, but moving to challenging a computer wash out. Game makers need to realize this stuff isn’t just kids and kids certainly aren’t spending money. Retirees, like myself also play, and have money. But I won’t spend to lose. And I won’t play long without incentive. And this game lacks all of that.
