  • Used to be my favorite

I’m pretty bummed that I can no longer purchase individual “books”. I refuse to pay a monthly subscription when there are certain ones I don’t like enough to color. This used to be my favorite app due to that feature. I do however find the coloring to be great and will continue to use it until all the books I purchased previously run out.

Lake is amazing! It makes me really happy! And everything is really easy! But I am still working on getting the hang of moving the picture around but that’s just me. Lake is a great app and people that don’t have should really think about getting it! I don’t know about you but I love Lake! 🙂🙂🙂

Not only are the pictures awesome to color but the colors to choose from are great! But I wish it had some more tools to work with such as colored pencils. I love the stay in the lines. But I think the subscription price is way to expensive for what is offered considering it’s the same price as pigment and it offers so much more in its annual package. This is so much more of what I’m looking for but I’m just not going to pay for that $59.99 yearly subscription, otherwise it’s perfect & would get 5⭐️’s!!!

The depth of this app is jaw-dropping, the level of creativity and work that went into the system is like no other app in the App Store, the user interface is absolutely smooth and well done that you notice the well put together system and appreciate how easy it is to get around it. The developers did a great job sharing the work of the community and artists, 10 out of 10, planning on buying premium.

Good although I would like if everything was free because I am broke as frik and my peeps do not give me money so it would also be good if It showed how many people did a page so you know what’s trending on lake so if they could fix that it would be perfect 👌

I honestly think lake is amazing, it just needs more than one free work per coloring book. I really enjoy the varieties of colors and who am I to complain that there aren’t enough free works! There are TONS of coloring books!

  • Less Options For Customers Now

With, Lake, taking away the option to buy individual coloring book packs from individual artists recently. Well, we gained nothing and just lost something once good and unique about this app. But, not really surprising seeing the business ethics of App Store developers today. Plus, I'd be enraged if I was one of the artists who contributed and once sold my work through this app. I actually tried to become an artist for Lake at one point, but the developer was not interested in the work I created and showed them, which, whatever. But, now I'm actually glad they weren't interested in having me as a contributing artist here, because I would be super upset that they just removed a source of income from me. Because, previously, before this foolish decision, if a customer didn't want to waste money monthly on a subscription for a digital coloring book, haha. Well, as an artist here, customers who didn't want to pay that subscription could still pay a one-time fee to unlock an artist's pages. But, like all greed-driven decisions by developers today, that once great option was removed from this app, for the sake and hope of more money at the customer's expense. The developer here lost nothing by allowing customers the option to just pay a reasonable one time price for one set of an artist's pages. Because those people like myself who are opposed to paying yearly and monthly to simply color. Well, we aren't going to be any more inclined to pay that subscription now that you've removed the option to pay just once for any pack we wanted to buy. So, again, you've taken income options away from the artists who keep your app going and you've given non-subscribing customers less options to give you money and for us to have pages to color besides the generous free pages, which thank you for those free pages. But, still, just seems like a foolish and greedy decision to me in an attempt to try and get more subscribers. In the long run though, I'm certain that decision will end up losing you money and probably you'll also have artists leave and not have as many want to be artists here because of this decision. But, hey, money is the only consideration with selling apps, everything else is just a distraction and best ignored, right? The whole concept of paying a subscription for pretty much 99% of apps and games that use them, including Lake, is just ridiculous and greedy. I wish Apple had never given all developers that option and they'd never had that secret meeting with like 20 App Store developers in attempt to get them to push using subscriptions for their apps and thus increasing Apple's profits exponentially. But, you'll find customers aren't as stupid as Apple and these developers think and one day in the future even the fools who pay a subscription for something like a coloing book, will get fed up with every app asking for weekly, monthly or yearly payments. Even with new pages added somewhat regularly, it doesn't change that fact that this app and pretty much every app besides Netflix is just an app and not a service and could never hope to warrant asking for never ending payments through a subscription. Just how much money do you greedy developers think we all have that we can afford to pay a subscription for every app we buy? Or, more accurately, you don't "buy" apps or games you subscribe to, you RENT them. As soon as you stop paying monthly or whatever, you lose all access to everything in the app or game that was worth anything. It's stupid and regardless of whatever sob story or B.S. excuse all these developers give naive customers. They'd be able to sell, offer updates improvements and new content without a subscription, just like it's always been done since they inception of selling applications and video games, and still make a profit and "put food on the table" and "keep the lights on." Subscriptions boil down to greed and nothing else. And you developers here have just made this app worse by removing the individual purchases for packs. Time will prove me right about everything I've said here, I know that for sure.
