  • Fantastic app, one minor UI issue

With the addition of iTunes billing, this app’s almost perfect. It’s much better for discovery than the Roku app. This is the most responsive app I’ve seen too: far better than the Funimation app. My one complaint is the UI in landscape (without the video in full screen). The navigation bar takes up too much space when watching a video and the font is too large for the subtitles. Decrease the width of the navigation bar to 2/3’s its current width.

The app is amazing and that’s facts it’s better than the Crunchyroll apps because when you get premium you have access to the Dub version of anime’s and also there is 3 ad per stop which is way more satisfying than Crunchyroll!!🤩
  • App crashes when downloading

When downloading multiple series’ the app will crash. After downloading a single series the app may also crash. I waited for 2 hours for VRV to download a very long series only for the app to crash afterwards. When I came back the series showed “download failed.” Aside from that, the interface isn’t very good and it’s just generally not a great app. Without the download issues I would’ve given VRV a 3 star. With the download issues it’s easily and unequivocally a 1 star.

It’s worth the download I mostly use it for anime, they’re pretty quick with the new shows being updated easy to navigate through and has an assortment of shows. Obviously the app has its bugs crashes every once and a while subs don’t load all the time but other then that it’s a good app.

The shows on VRV are great and everything’s great, but I would love to have stickers for all my favorite anime and other shows.

I’m not quite convinced to completely switch over to VRV from Crunchyroll. The Crunchyroll UI is so simple and clean while VRV is a bit messy. I'm confused to as why there’s offline viewing included in VRV but not Crunchyroll. I’m simply paying 2 extra dollars for it since I only use the Crunchyroll channel. I would like if the the developers of Ellation were to add picture-in-picture support since it’s in Crunchyroll but not VRV. It would be nice if all the Crunchyroll features were implemented into the VRV app so I don’t have switch back and forth between the two apps depending on my needs.
