There are 100+ audio points that play automatically, featuring what to see, stories, tips and advice. All the benefits of a guided tour, the freedom to drive yourself. TOUR GUIDE AS YOU DRIVE THE GOING TO THE SUN ROAD If you like driving yourself when you go sightseeing, GyPSy Guide™ tour apps allow you to enjoy a guided tour experience while remaining totally independent. By driving yourself, you'll be able to get from place to place faster, see more things and not be tied to anyone else's schedule. DON'T MISS OUT ON THE BEST SIGHTS AND STORIES The tour apps use your device’s location abilities to play the commentary AUTOMATICALLY. All you have to do is drive, listen and decide which places you want to stop at. Our tour guides have created an insightful and entertaining tour along the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. We’ll recommend the best places to experience and some great locations that most visitors will drive by. PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY GyPSy Guide knows where you are and which direction you are heading, and plays commentary automatically about the things you are seeing, plus stories and tips and advice. EXPLORE LIKE A LOCAL It’s just like having a local friend to show you around. And that friend just happens to be a professional tour guide. GREAT VALUE The same information you would get on a bus tour or from a guide book, for just a fraction of the price. And you control the itinerary and schedule. WORKS OFFLINE No data, cellular or even wireless network connection needed while touring. Download over Wi-Fi before you tour. Anyone can use them with no need for roaming data – even visiting from another country. DRIVING TOUR ROUTE This tour has commentary whether you drive it from east to west or the other way. Some of the highlights include: 1) Logan Pass 2) Oberlin Bend 3) The Loop 4) Triple Arches 5) Tunnels 6) Weeping Wall 7) Waterfalls 8) McDonald and St Mary Lakes You can join the tour from West Glacier on the western side, or ar St Mary if approaching from the east or from Waterton National Park in Canada. NOTES Download the app on Wi-Fi from your network at home or use any free Wi-Fi network. Because the app is filled with audio commentary and maps, its larger than "normal" apps. Many phone/data networks may block the download because of size - so its important to download over a Wi-Fi network. ++ Continued use of GPS running in the background increases battery usage - we strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. This is much better than simply plugging into the USB port in a vehicle. ** iPad users - please note that WiFi-only iPads will not activate the commentary automatically. Any iPhone or network-capable iPad (WiFi + Cellular - whether you have a network connection or not) will work just fine. ABOUT US GyPSy Guide™ produce award winning audio tours along scenic drives around the world. Enjoyed by travelers who prefer to set their own pace and itinerary on vacation, but enjoy a fun, informative and educational guided experience. Our goal is to provide a great introduction to the region and perhaps inspire you to learn more and return. None of our apps include paid advertising or placements for benefit.

  • Indispensable for auto touring

Wow!! This is the second year we have used GypsyGuide, throughout the Canadian Rockies and Glacier National Park’s GoingToTheSun Highway. It worked flawlessly with smartphone connected by Bluetooth to car’s speaker system. Just like going on a guided tour in your private vehicle. It’s display on your phone gives your exact location and where the next audio point of interest is located. I highly recommend all versions that we used.
  • Excellent guide

Just used it today for a round trip from West Glacier. The commentary was easy to understand, informative and well said. The gps location use allows the app to know where exactly it is and the comments about views, turn offs, parking and hike access are precise and easy to use. On the return we heard the same comments in reverse order with some appropriate differences. Overall, excellent purchase.

We just completed our stay at Glacier. We would have been lost with our Gypsy guide. The information we learned and the route guidance was invaluable.
  • Very informative app

This app was very informative. My entire family (kids included) listened intently to the narrator. We would have learned never learned all of the factual information without this app.
  • Great Info!

Loaded and played with before trip, day of trip paired phone with vehicle, got to park...didn't work! No worries...turned off Blue Tooth and phone was plenty loud enough for two to listen to even with a LifeProof case on. Great info. Great app for a reasonable price (and I'm a cheapskate!) Been to the park several times before but it's been a while. There were several awesome places we would not have stopped if we had not been listening! The history lessons were wonderful! And there were a few we stopped that were pretty cool that the audio didn't tell us about. All in all a great trip and a great app. I will def be checking into more of your apps specifically the Yellowstone & Tetons app and The Big Island apps! Any chance you could get a Kauai app ready before early Dec.? Thanks! Things that would make me rate this app higher: 1. Add narration for the Many Glaciers Road 2. Maybe add that The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado is the hotel that actually inspired the book The Shining, that The Ahwahnee Lodge in Yosemite Ntl Park inspired the sets for the interior for the movie production and that Timberline Lodge is the lodge on "side of Mt. Hood" used for exterior shots during the filming. Sorry, nit picky I know, but I'm a history buff. 3. More trail info (round trip or one way distance, altitude gained, difficulty, bathrooms on trail, etc.) A BIG kudos to you for the ones you did point out.
  • What a Deal!

Going to the Sun Road is our 7th Gypsy app and we've loved each one. Besides letting us know where to stop and what to see, the guide, who after all our adventures feels like a friend, provides a comprehensive understanding of the history and geography of the area. Can't wait to see where he'll take us next!
  • OMG: spectacular!

We loved this app. It gave us so much more information than we would ever have known. We drive the road two round trips and listened all the time because we picked up things we missed. I felt sorry for the others passing us by because they didn't know to stop. Love this app!
  • A fantastic companion to a beautiful drive.

    By AtOurGates
Made the drive come alive. Well narrated, with interesting stories about the park and road. And technically, the gps integration was excellent. I only wish they had more areas.
  • Great app highly recommend
