    1. Be up front about the cost and how this app works. $7.99 a week? Come on!! You'd get way way more traffic if you charged a reasonable amount, like $0.99. You should not be charging the folks looking for a room, but it seems reasonable to charge folks advertising a room. Think about how classified ads work... 2. Folks looking for a room should be REQUIRED to fill out basic info such as whether they are seeking a room for just themselves as an individual, OR POSSIBLY FOR A FAMILY, whether they actually have pets, smoke, etc., before their listing is visible. 3. The app is no longer loading after the last update (today is 3/12/17). I even tried deleting & reinstalling. Nope. It just keeps "thinking" about opening.. and then when it opens... it's just a lovely screen of white. ((Sarcasm)) 4. How do I get a refund? (I've learned Apple can get me a refund, but Roomster keeps charging me every week, even though I deleted my account weeks ago!!) 5. How do I get them to stop charging me???? 6. Where is a customer service number or email?

  • BEWARE: Impossible to cancel your subscription

I have had the most difficult time canceling my subscription; every month I am billed $24.95. Despite my multiple attempts to cancel my subscription and contact their “help desk,” there is no live person or phone number to actually cancel your subscription. They’re web links and tutorials always return to a generic “settings” page. What a SCAM! I contacted my credit card company to block their charges.

They won’t allow you to see your inbox unless you pay the premium fee. Removing ASAP.

While the app itself is built decently, I do not believe I was able to contact one REAL person the entire week I paid for. $10 down the drain. I was contacted several times with apartments that were perfect. Great location, affordable price, and available now! Guess what - the message looked like a Nigerian used google translate to send it to me. They always provided a phone number to talk outside the app and insisted they were away from the property so they couldn’t give me a tour before signing. They wanted me to sign a lease online and send payment. It was so obviously a scam.

Nothing but spam to upgrade account. Not helpful and wasted time.

Worst experience, do not buy this app and do not provide information to any of the apartment listers. I’ve had this app for less than 8 hours and every listing that I contacted was a fraud and trying to scam me out of money. When I contacted customer service they told me to keep searching and to report the profile which was impossible to do because the entire conversation that I had with the individuals listing apartments had been deleted and there is no way to search via profile. I requested my money back and was told that it was too late but that I could use the app for the rest of the week. Horrible.
  • Scam

I added this app to find a room because one of my good friends said that she found a room on the site so it must not be completely a scam. Whenever I found a room on craigslist they would ask me to add this up those were all scams. It would tell me I have tons of messages I paid for the app and no messages were there. After I have paid for it it’s continues to tell me that I have new messages when I go to open them they are not there. The only people that have sent me messages I can see are creepy old men.
  • It’s 100% a scam

Most users are fake profiles. They will message you asking for your email and then continue to stalk you. Not one single real option on here. It’s the most frustrating thing ever. Just use free websites.
  • Billing is not true... Website has more options.

They have weird subscriptions. Through iOS app is $9.99 for 7 days. On their website and only through their site they offer other plans for less and more cost effective with more time. There is no mention of these other subscriptions in the app at all!! I spent $40 for 28 days of service, by renewing over and over the $9.99 plan because I didn’t know about the other plans. It’s $24.95 for 30 days. I lost almost 2 weeks of service that Roomster refuses to acknowledge or accommodate the 2 weeks they owe when I spent $40 and the whole time they have a 30 day plan for $24.95!!! DON’T PURCHASE THE SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH THE APP. USE ONLY THE WEBSITE TO MAKE PURCHASES ON SUBSCRIPTIONS. The $9.99 (7 day plan) is only through the app and not even mentioned on the site. You can easily lose money!! In my opinion, this is very shady billing and can be viewed as a scam. I spent $40, without knowing about these other plans... wasteful! On the positive side, I landed one tenant and looking for a match to complete our occupancy. I’ll invest in the $24.95 (30 day plan). But I very well may dispute the previous charges for the $15.05 difference since Roomster was inconsistent on their pricing.
